Quick Details
Come and see the night time skies!
Come and see the night time skies where we have been designated as a dark sky location due to our remoteness and distance from light pollution.
The best times and days to view these dark skies are during cold and clear nights when the moon has set, you may be lucky enough to view the northern lights as well if the conditions are right.
We will depart from the Tilson Bay trail head and cross the tamarack floating bog where local moose, deer, and other wildlife roam. Once across the Floating bog you trek through multiple forest cover types ranging from ash swales to mature white pine stands.
Enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate as you enjoy the new trail warming hut or sit outside next to the camp fire and admire the dark skies and bright stars next to Voyageurs National Park.
